The history of road construction is inseparably linked to the development of the asphalt industry and its innovations. Initially, a flux asphalt was used, which liwuefied the bitumen with the aid of solvents and hardened it again by vaporization. The process, however, produced toxic emmissions - and therefore was not quite harmless in regard to the environment and health.
In the mixed-development phase, with customary hot asphalt, heated bitumen was used as the bonding agent, which made production very energy- dependent. Bitumen emulsions with RapsAsphalt as the third dimension emulsify the bitumen into fine droplets to produce the smoothness required during application. Some of the bitumen in RapsAsphalt is substituted with natural rape-seed oil, which improves stability and invreases the share of renewable natural raw materials.
REaktivAsphalt as the revolution in the asphalt industry uses water as the reactive agent and is made of natural raw materials. And is leading us into an entirely new dimension of road construction.....
